Start with information you know. These guides explain record keeping, not vehicle-specific maintenance requirements.
Build service history from incomplete records
Start with one dated invoice or service you can verify. Record its date, mileage if known, work performed and cost if entered. Attach its evidence. Leave other history unknown; a missing record is not proof that work was never done. Review a report before giving it to a mechanic or buyer.

Keep an inspection date easy to find
Use the date on your own appointment or official document. Save it as a reminder, choose a lead period and an available notification channel. Calendar alerts require importing the file; browser alerts require the app to be open. After the appointment, record the actual date and outcome. An inspection reminder is not a guarantee that the car is ready.
Document a repair so it is useful later
Keep symptoms, diagnostic findings, source-backed specifications and planned parts with the job. Record the parts actually used, completion mileage and verification result. Add before/after evidence when useful. Separate an unconfirmed diagnosis from a confirmed cause. Review identifiers and attachments before sharing.
